And by the end of the article, you will discover some great leaders with amazing resources for children with ADHD, including a behavior course and strategies, a whole curriculum inspired by her children who learn differently, and more! By the end you will be clicking that follow button, that is if you aren’t following them already!
Leader #1: Lindsay Leviska at A Heart For All Students
Where in the world do I start? I met Lindsay through a fellow mom that was in my old neighborhood. She is married, has 3 children, homeschools all 3, does homeschooling consulting, and runs her blog and home like a boss! Oh, and has ADHD also, so she really gets and understands the ADHD mom brain!
Her story will bring tears to your eyes, because it was a hard journey she had to go through with her youngest. With lots of prayer, God, and changing her perspective on everything, and also after just being physically, mentally, and emotionally broken, she is now thriving, and her son is too! She is intelligent, warm, and is a fantastic resource on all things ADHD, kids behaviors, kids brains, how kids learn, special needs, homeschooling, occupational therapy, and so much more! I have learned so much from her in just the 2 yearsr I have known her, and you will too!

Leader #2: Sarah Janisse Brown from FunSchooling Books
I don’t know Sarah personally, but I am facebook friends with her, and I have several of her homeschool journals for my oldest! She has 15 kids (yes, you read that right, 15), so she is a rock star and inspiration for all moms! She is a Christian, and owns and runs her own business which is a homeschool curriculum called Thinking Tree Books! She is a magnificent artist, is so creative, and has curriculum journals for every interest under the sun! My daughter loved the dinosaur journal when she was obsessed with dinosaurs. She has journals for pre-k all the way up to moms, including a how to guide to homeschool, and a journal for how to identify what your child’s learner type is. My daughter is a creator/explorer, just in case you were wondering!
She is a grandma to 1, and she lives in Indiana. She has passed on her creative side to all of kids, and a few of them are even co authors and contributors of art in her journals! Her oldest daughter has signed a contract with a major theater director for a play/musical theater production that she wrote herself! The music and singing are of a different realm! I will keep you all updated, and I will be writing so much more about Sarah and her wonderful artistic family!

Leader #3: John Gray, Bestselling Author and Counselor
I certainly don’t know John Gray personally, as he is a New York Times best selling author of Men are from Mars, Women Are From Venus, but I can only hope to meet him some day! He has ADHD too, and didn’t find out until later on in his life. I honestly haven’t read that particular book of his yet, but the book that has really helped me with understanding what can cause ADHD and some natural solutions for it is called Staying Focused In A Hyper World Book 1: Natural Solutions for ADHD, Memory, and Brain Performance.
Maybe it’s because I have ADHD myself, or that I’m a natural solutions and crunchy mama nerd, but I have read this book several times! I don’t even start at the beginning anymore, but I go to a particular chapter or a specific topic within ADHD that I want to read again. He is married with 3 adult children, one of whom co wrote a book with him, and has formulated specific natural protocols for children and adults with ADHD. He is a wealth of knowledge of all things ADHD and supplements and alternative therapies and treatments! He is a relationship counselor, as well as counseling people with ADHD.
“Here at MarsVenus.com I’ve teamed up with my amazing daughter Lauren so that you can have both the male and female, older and younger, married and single points of view on life and love.“

Leader #4: Jennifer Robins, Bestselling Author and Blogger At Predominately Paleo
I don’t know Jennifer Robins personally as she is a BIG TIME blogger and bestselling author of Down South Paleo, and The New Yiddish Kitchen, but I absolutely love her book, “The Paleo Kids Cookbook!” My mom bought me her cookbook for Christmas in 2017 when my daughter was on a strict diet per her holistic doctors orders, and for some reason never opened it until months later (ok, so maybe it was because I had a 1 year old boy running around)! When I finally did start perusing through the pages, I got excited! There are lots of reasons for this.
1- All of her recipes are doable and don’t call for a zillion ingredients! For a busy mama, that is important!
2- I love that she has several recipes for dairy free cheese, one for macaroni, for pizza, for sandwiches and quesadillas, and one for a “nacho cheese” style dairy free sauce. And- I have tested ALL of them out and I gotta say, I could easily go dairy free using this book!
Jennifer has 3 kids, and she was diagnosed with several autoimmune diseases like hashimotos, suffered from lyme disease, and is gluten intolerant. After getting diagnoses after diagnoses, and one child with intense stomachaches, one with sleep apnea, and enlarged tonsils, and her youngest had swollen lymph nodes. After finding out she was gluten intolerant, she had her kids tested and they too were intolerant to gluten, and then casein as well.
After taking them all off gluten and dairy, their symptoms disappeared, and she became a believer in healing foods, and saw how important whole foods really are to her and her kids bodies! Check out her blog, and her cookbooks! It is all amazing!

Leader #5: The Holistic Wellness Center of the Carolinas
My daughter was a patient here from August 2017 until spring 2018. My dad went here first to heal his lyme disease, and my mom suggested I take my daughter who was 9 at the time.
Now, this wasn’t our first time navigating a dairy, soy, and gluten free diet with her. I put her on the same diet when she was 3, until almost 5 years old. I will be posting more about our journey in future blog posts.
The Holistic Center is an amazing facility because it is a one stop shop for everything! You do have to be on a patient plan, so it isn’t a place you go every year for a check up. They have a combination of integrative and traditional medicine doctors, plus a chiropractor on staff. They have an infrared sauna on site, and any kind of supplement you can imagine! They prescribe labs to see what your body needs, and then they only give you the supplements your body needs.
I cannot say enough about this wellness center! They are a huge resource and help for weary, overwhelmed mamas with no where else to turn!
“If you’ve been looking for a different kind of healthcare… you’ve found it.”
